Plaid Shower Curtains
Plaid shower curtains bring crossing bands, tailored checks, and tartan rhythm into the bathroom. This collection ranges from quiet highland landscapes and orchard botanicals to colorful kites, coastal regattas, florals, animals, and modern abstract geometry.
Charcoal, moss, crimson, cobalt, sea-glass, aubergine, teal, gold, cream, and rust give the pattern very different moods. Every design keeps a recognizable grid of horizontal and vertical bands central to the first visual read while offering its own subject, scale, and color balance.

The defining territory here is a true crossing-band structure: tartan, windowpane, gingham, or a closely governed check must organize the visible artwork. Some designs use crisp graphic bands, while others soften the grid through mist, watercolor, reflections, foliage, or layered illustration. Stripes without crossing bands and loose geometric grids do not qualify.
Scenic plaid designs combine the ordered pattern with a clear place or subject. Highland hills, woodland animals, sailboats, orchards, and open skies can sit within the grid without disappearing behind it. Botanical and animal variations use the same structure to frame leaves, blossoms, fruit, birds, and other focal forms, giving the collection range without weakening its pattern promise.
Color changes the character of plaid dramatically. Charcoal, moss, fog blue, and cream feel restrained; crimson, black, and ivory create a stronger cottage statement; cobalt, saffron, and coral read playful; sea-glass, navy, sand, and rust lean coastal; and aubergine, teal, rose, and gold support a warmer modernist direction. Choose supporting towels and bath accessories from one or two colors already present in the artwork.
Traditional tartans pair naturally with wood tones, cream tile, aged metal, and simple solids, while oversized windowpanes and abstract checks suit cleaner contemporary rooms. For ocean-connected scenes, explore the Coastal collection. For nested geometry, arcs, and period color blocking, the Mid-Century collection offers a more specifically retro direction.
Plaid differs from ordinary stripes because both horizontal and vertical bands must remain visible, and it differs from patchwork because the grid itself—not a set of separate fabric-like panels—controls the composition. The artwork is printed flat on smooth polyester; it does not imitate sewn tartan, applied trim, embroidery, or tactile textile construction.
All ShowerTown curtains in this collection are one-sided sublimation prints on lightweight, quick-drying polyester. The standard 71 x 74 in size fits standard tubs, includes 12 buttonholes for hooks, and benefits from a liner for added water protection. Machine wash cold on gentle and hang dry or tumble dry low.
